Menisectomy
A Maenisectomy involves the removal of a portion of the meniscus cartilage from the knee joint. The meniscus is the shock-absorbing wedge of the cartilage that sits on the tibia in the knee that provides a cushion with the impact.
Meniscus Repair
When a meniscus tear happens your surgeon may choose to repair the torn meniscus with an arthroscopic procedure. This may sometimes be the best option for the patient as it could decrease their risk of future arthritis by not having to remove a portion of the meniscus.

Diagnosis and Symptoms
The pain caused by a rotator cuff tear is usually described as a light to medium pain which start deep in the shoulder. It can disturb you while you sleep, especially when lying on the problem shoulder. Surgical and nonsurgical options are both available. Come in for a consultation and we’ll decide what the best path is for you.
Surgical Options
Surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff often involves the tendon having to be reattached to the head of humerus (upper arm bone). A partial tear, may need only a trimming or smoothing procedure called a debridement. The surgery takes less than 1 hour, patients go home the same day and are in a sling for two to four weeks.
Depending on the extent of the dislocated shoulder, surgery can be required to repair a torn labrum or tighten-up stretched or torn ligaments or tendons.
Surgical Options
At Brand Surgical, we use an arthroscopic technique which allows for only a very minor incision allowing for minimal damage to surrounding areas.
Therapy
6 weeks after, you will have to go through about 3-6 months of physical therapy to help with regaining the muscle and restoring the range of motion.
